Roger Zahab Violinist

I suspect that violinists are among the most conservative musicians, but I just ignore all that. Or you could say that I've chosen to conserve the beautiful granite shores that surround the Atlantic as much as the beautiful silken vibrato that used to flow so predictably (and often senselessly) out of the instrument. The violin first came into its own in taverns and later sneaked into court and it is as useful at dances as it is in high art applications. Actually it works very well with others once the pretentions are dropped.

I again thank my excellent teachers - Vincent Frittelli, Paul Biss, Hiroko Yajima, John Graham and Paul Zukofsky. Each was able to give me his/her best and unique perspective. No one can possibly blame them for what I have done since.
