Comments: | for Dan Anderson Delaware was written quickly (over May 5th & 6th in 2002) for my then student Dan Anderson as entertainment/study material for his summer work/vacation on a beach in Delaware. Movements 3 (devotion - originally for unaccompanied voice ) and 4 (seagull chorus - originally for a cappella voices) are reworkings of text excerpts from the Gnostic gospels commissioned by theater director James Slowiak for his performances of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull. rz |
