Program Notes:The original string orchestra version (scored for string orchestra and percussion) was commissioned in 1995 by Sherilyn Gray for the Hyre Middle School Orchestra in Akron, Ohio and is a reworking of two pieces from my incidental music for a production of Gertrude Stein's A Circular Play - a Play in Circles.

The full orchestra version was made in honor of Christopher Kizina's graduation from the University of Pittsburgh.

Revised in March 2022 for a larger and more experienced orchestra.
