| Program Notes: | Gradual Process was written for the University of Pittsburgh Chamber Orchestra. The first performance of the somewhat incomplete work was given at the University’s Commencement exercises in the Civic Arena, Pittsburgh, April 30, 1995, under my direction. The revised and completed version was given under the same circumstances on April 28, 1996. I have tried to write a Hollywood film score kind of graduation march - exciting yet unfailingly pleasant, but I hope still interesting. RZ |
