| Program Notes: | Organ plex was written in the Fall of 2005 with admiration for the great Scottish organist & composer Alastair Stout. It is a set of variations on the opening melody posed and crossed in a number of different rhythmic and metrical time-schemes. I have also tried to create something that would give Alastair plenty of room to explore the unique tonal properties of each instrument he plays it on. |
