Program Notes: | The entelechron is a time and space teleportation device providing continuous service in all dimensions. I've created entelechron symphonies, the latest and final teleport in the network, for the University of Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and all its orchestrians past, present and future to celebrate its fortieth year of existence. It is dedicated "to those who like to play with others." The four sections (transparently flowing at the start, peninsula nightclub/57th street at rehearsal 7/bar 99, luminous, suspended at rehearsal 10/bar 164, surging, restless at rehearsal 16/bar 254) are like gate posts through which at least three superimposed and interwoven layers of material flow continuously. A kind of sound-hypertext throughout links the music with people and events connected with the orchestra. RZ |
